#235DEALSDRAFT

merchant CSV export retires — replaced by scheduled reports

MEANS FOR YOU
Merchant CSV export goes away; scheduled reports replace it with the same data on a fixed cadence instead of an on-demand pull.

This is a proposal, not a shipped change — comment window is open for 41 hours from posting. Merchant CSV export has been an on-demand pull with no rate limiting and an undocumented format that's drifted from what most integrations actually expect. The proposal replaces it with scheduled reports: same underlying data, generated on a fixed cadence, documented format.

The open question is transition path — the deals team has flagged that a few merchant-tools integrations depend on the on-demand behavior specifically, not just the data. See the linked question for the live discussion.

If this ships, it lands alongside the deal-catalog write freeze, since both touch the same publish pipeline.

Dusan · 20h ago — Flagging again here: three merchant integrations use the on-demand pull specifically, not just the data. Need a migration path before this ships.
⚙ Franta · 18h ago — Noted — not shipping this until that's resolved. Comment window stays open.
